Whats quite Windows 10 (Version 1809 or later) and a 4 GB VRAM GPU. T4 doesn't have anything like that, from what little I've managed to get online, apparently it's hidden inside. I vaguely recall having more or less the same problem with Tropico 3, but LUA config was simple enough to edit in notepad++ to force window mode. I don't care that much about my savegames, I might try uninstalling and clean installing, but I'm stumped and if that doesn't work, I'm probably just going to free up my hard drive space for something that doesn't make my teeth hurt. Skyrim works perfectly well, and I tried it after the frustration with T4. Tropico 4 had been cruising along quite nicely like that until today.

Have you tried: Running other Steam games, see if they're also having problems? Or taking Steam offline?I always run Steam in offline mode. But I did notice that 4 had A LOT of minor DLCs for an outrageous price considering what it added and so is 5 releasing DLCs.

Because that sounds a bit like what might happen if Steam is trying and failing to connect to a server. I don't even think there's a real Slavery system let alone a piracy mechanic, making being a colonial governor in the Caribbean basically flavourless despite the game actually going pre-18th century in theory. Offline Game Mode - These achievements require play in game modes that do not necessitate a Single Player. Rather than having new mechanics for new eras that replace old ones, they don't have many mechanics based around the past and you have to wait for the modern era to be able to do anything interesting. Tropico VS The World achievement in Tropico 4. Basically all the ones before the modern era are a tutorial with limited mechanics that you basically speed through to get to the standard Cold War period. I like the idea of the ages at least, starting as a colonial governor in the 1800's and proceeding into modern times.From the Podcast I heard, the ages in Tropico 5 are absolutely pointless and terrible. Haven't played Tropico 5 although I should. I liked Tropico 4 but it has a ton of DLC you might want to make it a complete experience.
